15.09.2020 – Joint Webinar - Global Insights: Navigating Change
Earlier this year the Swiss Chapter has kicked off its collaboration with the CMA Nanjing Elite Club in China. Together with Jude Zhu, our board member Marco Otti organized and moderated a first joint webinar on “Global Insights: Navigating Change 全球视野：驾驭变革” on September 15. The event was well received within the IMA community and attracted over 400 international registrations!
The webinar featured robust strategies for accounting and finance professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving business environment. Speakers Prof. Dr. Thorsten Feix, University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, and Marshall Ma, Co-founder & CEO of EasyFinance, shared their insights on how to refocus and provide strategic guidance and M&A support with an end-to-end perspective. In the Q&A session, Thorsten Feix discussed recent M&A activities in a digitalized world, the role of competition authorities, and the impact of corporate culture on successful integration management. Marshall Ma elaborated on the development of management accounting in China, assessed the risk of automation to our profession, and what we can do to upskill for better decision making. Members of the IMA Switzerland Chapter are welcomed to reach out and get involved in our next joint activities!
